Jefferson Middle School and the JMS PTA will host its 12th annual International Night on Thursday, January 17, 2019, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Jefferson Middle School Gym. Over the past twelve years, International Night has raised almost $35,000 for three orphanages in Haiti, and they continue to need our help more than ever after the devastation of the hurricanes in recent years.
To make this evening another success, we will need your help!
- Attend the event! For $5 per person, you will enjoy the best potluck dinner in town, watch a great show, enter a basket raffle, and play games. Buy your wristbands early and avoid the line! Each family that buys their tickets early will also receive four free game tickets. Starting on Monday, January 7, tickets will be available in Ms. Beckett's room (Room 123). Cash or checks (made payable to the Cali Orphanage Fund) are accepted.
- Donate food! It's not a potluck without your generous and delicious donations. Anything works! We've had trays of Chick-Fil-A nuggets, lasagna, cakes and cookies, and even trays of sushi. All the food can be dropped off that night. More information will follow.
- Donate a basket, gift card, event/activity, or other new items! One of the biggest draws of this event is the basket raffle. Even if you can't donate an entire basket, we are more than happy to accept gift cards, tickets to cultural or sporting events, and other NEW items which we can combine into a basket. Also, many stores (Marshalls, Home Goods, etc.) have themed, filled baskets more than half-off right now. These are perfect for this event! Paula Pellegrino (email@example.com) from the PTA can answer any questions. All basket donations can be dropped off in the office or to Ms. Beckett in room 123.
- Perform! Does your son or daughter have a special talent they'd like to share? We love Irish dancing, Indian dancing, or any kind of musical performance. Please let Mrs. Wetmore (firstname.lastname@example.org) know ASAP if your child is interested. To perform, students must be able to show Mrs. Wetmore and Ms. Beckett their talent (or a video of their talent) on either Monday, January 7, or on Tuesday, January 8, right after school.
Thank you in advance for your continued generosity and enthusiasm for this important community event. For any questions, please feel free to contact Ashlee Beckett (email@example.com), Kristin Hertzog (firstname.lastname@example.org), Molly Wetmore (email@example.com), or Paula Pellegrino (firstname.lastname@example.org).
