Safe2Say Something Becomes Law in PA
Posted 01/24/2019 02:43PM

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted the Safe2Say Something program on January 14, 2019. This youth violence prevention program, created and developed the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, teaches children and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to "say something" BEFORE it is too late. With Safe2Say users submit anonymous tips via a mobile app, website, or by calling the 24/7 Crisis Center in the PA Attorney General's office. Tips will be shared with local law enforcement and our schools for follow up. This will replace our current MTLSD Protect App. If you have used the MTLSD Protect App in the past, please delete it from your device and download the Safe2Say Something app as a replacement for reporting safety concerns.

Please see safe2saypa.org for more information, or f you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Szesterniak.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and healthy school environment.
