The Mt. Lebanon School District is in the process of collecting information for our 2019-2020 kindergarten registration. Per School Board policy — Children who reach the age of five before the eighth day of September or the first student day of the school year (whichever occurs later) in a given year are eligible to enter kindergarten in the school year commencing in August or September of that year.
Registration for new kindergarten students, who will enter kindergarten in August 2019, will begin throughout the Mt. Lebanon School District on Friday, February 1st. At this time, families will be asked to pick up a registration packet at their neighborhood school and sign their child up for a screening time. To locate your neighborhood school by street listing.
Kindergarten screening will occur mid to late May and will take approximately 20 minutes. As new students are being screened, our building secretaries will review all registration paperwork. New families are asked to bring with them:
All registration paperwork completely filled out
Driver's license or passport
Child's birth certificate
Proof of Mt. Lebanon residency (closing paperwork, rental agreement, bill, etc.)
Please note: Kindergarten Orientation will occur at each elementary school on Friday, May 10th. This program will provide an overview of the program and time to ask questions, see the school and meet the teachers.
