The Mt. Lebanon High School blood drive held on October 20 was selected as Central Blood Bank Blood Drive of the Week. This honor awards the group that exemplifies outstanding dedication to the community blood program. The Blood Drive held on October 20 brought in 63 units of blood. The effort was coordinated by the High School Student Activities Office along with a committee of student volunteers who used a multi-level approach to encourage blood donation including presentations in Health classes and at other times during the school day.
The dates for the next high school blood drive are January 19 and April 20, 2018. Each blood drive is open to students currently attending Mt. Lebanon High School and their parents. Members of the general public who donate blood at other sites are encouraged to mention the code for the high school: HS0100046. Donors can either provide the code or simply tell the staff when they donate that they wish to credit their donation to Mt. Lebanon High School.
