Each June, the JMS yearbook is published by dedicated sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students who work together to capture student life. Throughout the year, students develop skills in writing, theme development, design, layout, and photography.

Join the Yearbook Staff

We welcome responsible students from grades six, seven, and eight to apply to be on the yearbook staff. The group meets on Thursdays in the Writing Lab after school from 3:15-4:15 p.m. In addition to our weekly group meetings, staff members will need to work outside of school on taking photos, conducting interviews, and designing their assigned spreads. A camera or smart phone is not required, though it is often helpful. If you believe you may be interested in joining the yearbook staff, click the link below to download an application. Students may also stop by room 217 to pick one up in person. Yearbook staff applications are due by Friday, September 14, 2018.

After September 14, yearbooks will sell at the standard rate of $35. To purchase a yearbook, visit The deadline to order a yearbook for the 2018-19 school year is midnight on Friday, January 18, 2019.

Eighth Grade Recognition Advertisements

We are excited to offer the opportunity for eighth grade families to celebrate their student’s accomplishments by purchasing a recognition ad. Upload photos, give congrats, and provide words of encouragement as your teen heads off to high school!
